Scotts® EZ Seed® Patch & Repair Sun and Shade is a ground-breaking grass seeding product specifically designed to fill in bare patches and repair damage on lawns. This innovative product is capable of thriving in challenging conditions such as full sun, dense shade, high traffic areas, and sloped terrain.

EZ Seed® Patch & Repair combines high-performance grass seed, continuous-release lawn food, and super-absorbent growing mulch material. Additionally, it includes a tackifier to prevent seed wash-away and a protectant to shield seedlings from diseases.

To achieve optimal results, follow these three simple steps: 1) Prepare the area by eliminating dead grass and loosening compacted soil, 2) Apply EZ Seed® evenly so that the surface is mostly covered while still allowing bare ground to show through, and 3) Water thoroughly until the mulch darkens and no more water is being absorbed.

For best outcomes, sow the seed in the spring or fall when the soil temperature averages between 55°F and 70°F, or when the air temperature ranges from 60°F to 80°F. It is recommended to keep children, pets, and lawnmowers away from newly planted seedlings until the grass reaches a height of 3 inches.
